Design and the Market

Amazing the number of articles and sites on Business and Marketing with references to Brewdogs inspiring and successful business vision, or 'revolution' True Designers and Innovators are Watt and Dickie.

Design and the Market

Contact made with the guys at Brewdog and it was a success, a reply from James Watt and it's looking likely that we will be able to set up an interview. Looking forward to getting an insight into their business vision and mindset.

Design and the Market Assignment

After narrowing down our research into different inspiring individuals within entrepreneurial design and business innovation we decided to focus our research towards Brewdog (James Watt and Martin Dickie) and their "Craft-beer revolution". Amazing company and individuals who had the creative mindset and vision needed for business start up in the current economic and business climate.
Research and Insights into future workspaces/interior design and interactions for educational environments have been my focus for the past two weeks, but now it's concept development.
Currently working on a design brief in conjunction with DandAD and Kronospan to design a workspace scenario of the future for an educational environment.

Design and the Market module launch

Design and the market module has kicked off with an insight into visualising design within a business context and the entrepreneurial side to being a successful designer. Usual inspiring standard of lecture from Mike Press.

NCR

The NCR project, was a recent service design brief, in which I worked alongside NCR Dundee (market leader in supermarket self-service innovations).
After meeting with the company's design and management team to launch the project, it became clear that NCR were looking for research and innovation into increasing the self efficiency of customers in the supermarket experience as a whole. With a focus on increasing the accessibility and interaction of NCR products within supermarket environments.
After the launch of this project brief for NCR, I went off to adress the current problems with self-service in supermarkets, efficiency of the shopping experience as a whole and the interaction, accessibility of self service machines.
